Prosper Pièrre-Louis 1947-1997
is a Haitian born in Bainet, near Jacmel.
One of the main contributors of the Saint Soleil art movement.
He was one of the Cinq Soleil (five Suns: Levoy Exil, Louisiane Saint Fleurant, Dieuseul Paul, Denis Smith) art movement. These artists had branched out of the Saint Soleil movement. He died in 1997 of an asthma attack.

Hughes Claude Pissarro
1935 – present
Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, Pissarro, also known as Isaac Pomie is the grandson of Camille Pissarro, the great Impressionist painter. Hughes attended the Ecole Normale Superior, a unique French institution dedicated to excellence. Following the family tradition, he became a celebrated artist and teacher with wide ranging talents in various media. He was commissioned to paint President Eisenhower by the White House.
Pissarro’s work has evolved through a variety of techniques including minimalist, abstract, avant-garde and conceptual. He is best known for his Post-Impressionist-style works, collectively known as “Petit Claude.”
His artwork is exhibited in many permanent European collections, museums and galleries around the world.
